Holistic care
Holistic Wellness
Natural, time-honored approaches for women's health , to use alongside (not instead of) the care of a trusted provider.
Educational only , not medical advice
The information here is for learning and reflection. It isn't a diagnosis, prescription, or substitute for personalized medical care. Please talk to a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new supplement, herb, or practice , especially if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, trying to conceive, or managing a health condition.
Hormone Balance
Steady moods, steadier cycles
Hormones don't need to be 'fixed' , they need to be supported. Sleep, blood sugar, stress, and a few well-loved herbs do most of the heavy lifting.
Natural remedies & approaches
Vitex (chasteberry)
Often used for PMS and luteal-phase support. Works slowly , give it 3 cycles. Not for use with hormonal birth control or fertility meds without guidance.
Maca root
An adaptogenic root traditionally used for energy and libido. Start low; some prefer it only in the follicular phase.
Seed cycling
Flax + pumpkin seeds (days 1–14), sunflower + sesame (days 15–28). Gentle, food-based, and a beautiful daily ritual even if the evidence is mostly anecdotal.
Stress care
Cortisol steals from your sex hormones. Walks, breathwork, saying no, and ten quiet minutes count as medicine.
Sleep hygiene
Dark room, consistent bedtime, screens off an hour before sleep. Most hormone repair happens while you sleep.
Limit ultra-processed foods
Stable blood sugar = steadier hormones. Pair carbs with protein and fat.
A gentle reminder
Herbs like vitex can interact with hormonal medications, fertility treatments, antipsychotics, and Parkinson's meds. Always check with your provider before starting , especially if you're trying to conceive.
Your personal notes
What you've tried, what's helped, what your body is telling you.
