Stillness is not the point
Attention is the point. Any repetitive activity can hold it, and for many women a moving practice feels safer than a still one.
Everyday doorways
- Washing up, warm water, weight of each dish
- Walking, counting four steps per inhale
- Feeding your baby, the sound of swallowing
- Showering, temperature and skin, nothing else
When your mind wanders
It will, dozens of times. Noticing that you wandered is the practice succeeding, not failing.
Plant this thought
